Four Seasons Fact Checking

During my internship with Pace Communications, I had the opportunity to fact check a variety of print and digital stories. This included confirming the spelling of any proper names, URLs and contact information (street addresses and phone numbers) given in the story, as well as checking any verifiable information.


To verify information, I typically reached out to PR contacts within Four Seasons, businesses, museums, third-party venues or restaurants via email or phone with specific questions.


During my fact-checking, the most common errors involved restaurant menu items, descriptions of exhibitions or minor errors regarding personal information. Although small details, these inconsistencies can discredit the validity of a story.
